Are you guys open to a new photographer/interviewer/writer?

Unfortunately we don’t accept anonymous grey profiles as writers, but! if you have a real face worry not - as we may be looking at greater expansion in the new year. As always we ask that writers submit the following to iwannawork@ctrlaltrock.com:

•  A review of your favourite album from 2011. There is no word count - we look for quality not quantity. 
•  A proposal for a feature for the site. This could, for example, focus on an area of the music industry such as illegal downloading, or on fan clubs, or festivals, or the way in which bands have had to become more creative in order to sell cds with tangible bonus items. 

It should be made clear however, that we do not guarantee that new writers will simply walk into covering big shows and interviewing their favourite bands. We often look for a lot of support in terms of CD reviews and writing news content for the site. Everyone has to work their way up to covering shows, and if someone can’t demonstrate their commitment to assisting us with the day to day running of the site then they are not suitable for us.
