After mixed reviews circulating 2010’s ‘Hold Me Down’, it was debatable that Surrey natives You Me At Six had lost that special spark that had enticed and enthralled so many with their debut ‘Take Off Your Colours’; that, despite not being terrible, the band had hit a brick wall with their second studio album. Fast-forward to February 2011 and, more specifically, the band’s collaboration with rapper Chiddy on Rescue Me. This did nothing for morale amongst fans, sparking fears that You Me At Six were leaving their punk rock roots behind in favour of something a little more mainstream; a little less heavy.
